That said, the consistency of both teams' performances this season can be equally regarded as poor. Rose's side beat stalwart Wolfsburg 3-0 away on Saturday, so the visitors from Manchester City will be in good spirits. As for the mood of the Mancunians, its quality is questionable. Having just caught up with Arsenal in the Premier League table, Guardiola's side lost points at Nottingham. The Mancunians probably had an attitude problem as they are now in good form, thanks to which they beat their direct title rival Arsenal in London in the middle of last week. Manchester City and Leipzig were drawn in the Champions League last season. Back then, the rivals exchanged home victories in the group stage. Both meetings were productive, with the teams scoring a combined total of nine goals at the Etihad. That performance is unlikely to happen next Wednesday, but the English and German sides are capable of scoring.
