Sampdoria will resist the favourites
Roma have been extremely bad in recent encounters. The only time Roma have not lost in their last three games was in a dry draw against Real Sociedad. Apart from that, Wolves lost 3-4 to Sassuolo and 1-0 to Lazio. Defeat to the Eagles was obviously a severe blow to the team's morale. That said, the state of affairs in the league was complicated by their recent loss to Cremonese. After 27 rounds, Seu Jose's side sit in fifth place with 48 points under their belt. Much of this series of failures is due to the team's very tight schedule. Roma continue to play in the Europa League and will soon face Feyenoord. In the Derby della Capitale, two Wolves players got suspended at once. Roger Ibañez picked up two yellow cards in the first half, and Brian Cristante was directly sent off towards the end of the game. On top of that, after his return from the national team Lorenzo Pellegrini is training on an individual programme. There is no information yet regarding the captain's participation in the upcoming match. On top of that, Kumbulla and Mancini will definitely miss the game, while Karsdorp is out until the end of the season. Sampdoria continue to fight to keep their place in Serie A. The Genoese failed to create a sensation against Juventus but they beat Verona quite easily. The match against Hellas ended in a 3-1 win for the Seasiders. Although the team has moved down to the bottom of the table, they are still in a very poor position. In the remaining 11 rounds, Stankovic's side need to eliminate the gap of nine points from La Spezia. Moreover, the team closes the championship with matches against Milan and Napoli. It is important to note that in the past two meetings, the club scored five goals, although in 25 rounds before this, the club differed only 11 times. Given the Giallorossi's immense defensive problems, should we expect goals from the Mariners? Quite right. Roma have won eight games at the Olimpico. Only three of those victories (3-0 over Monza, 2-0 over Fiorentina and 2-0 over Empoli) were by more than one goal. It is also worth noting that the Romans have beaten the Genoese three times in their last five meetings. Each time, however, the scoreline was 1-0. Regardless of their position in the table, the Seamen are clearly not going to be easy prey for the Wolves. If the Giallorossi win, it will be minimal.
